We think that a white cotton wrap top is the essence of summer chic! Show off that summer waistline with this trend from one of our favorite designers, Trina Turk. Pair the wrap top with a fun colorful skirt for a night out to dinner and dancing at the local hotspot! Keep it festive by matching your shoes and accessories to the skirt and you’re ready to dance the night away!
Easy, breezy shift dress
There’s nothing quite like the ease of a cotton shift dress, especially when on vacation. We love this shift in white eyelet. It’s breathable and pairs beautifully with wedges or flat sandals. For a beach worthy look keep the accessories earthy and opt for espadrilles or a straw bag. This a great daytime look that’s perfect for sightseeing because you’ll stay and look cool throughout the day.
The perfect summer set
A LINEN set! Need we say more? Sets are the ultimate trend this summer, and nothing says smart-chic quite like a linen set when you are shopping for treasures on a vacation. Linen is a natural fabric that is perfect for warm summer temperatures. Ralph Lauren has been known to have “guaranteed to wrinkle” in the tags of his linen items which tells us wrinkled linen is somewhat of a badge of honor. Press your linen and then don’t worry about the wrinkles that come from the fun you’re having on vacation. To elevate the look even further don’t forget accessories like the long necklace we selected from our favorite jewelry vendors, Taylor and Tessier.
Maximum-chic in a boho midi
We are loving the midi trend this summer and feel it is perfect for the beach! It’s comfortable, easy to wear, and more practical than a full length maxi on the sand. This particular dress has an added visual element with the stripes at the tulip-edged bottom. Show off those curves with the ruched waist that flatters a number of body types. To maximize everything in your suitcase, try wearing this with wedges to a lunch or dinner first and then repurpose it as a coverup later in the trip!
You can, wear a caftan!
Yes, your mother or grandmother (or both) wore a caftan at some point, but you, too, can wear a caftan! As far as summer trends go, the caftan is a classic. We love the current look of a length that’s just above the knee with bright colors.
